Healthy Dinner Choices (Chicken Grain Bowl)

Happy Tuesday Guys!! 

If ya'll are anything like, I've been in the gym lately and trying to change my eating habits. Last night I made my own grilled chicken bowl. Below I'm going to show you some easy steps on how to make it! All my meals are made for serving size of 1 person. Please add or change it to fit your household!! Let' EAT!!

 

Ingredients 

- 1/2 a chicken breast or 2 thin cut chicken strips

- 1/2 Avocado 

- 1/2 Crown of broccoli 

- 1 Can of southern style or roasted corn

- 1/4 Cup of Brown Rice

 

STEP 1

- Rinse Brown Rice

- Bowl water in medium sauce pan, I fill it up and 3/4 then add 1 tablespoon of salt

- Rinse Chicken off, then season to your liking ( I use "Slap ya momma", "Garlic powder", " Season all" and " Lemon Pepper"

- Next after water is to a bowl, add rice for 10-12 mins 

 

Step 2

- Cut broccoli into small pieces (To your liking), rinse off 

- Place Medium Skillet on stove, place heat on low/medium

- Add broccoli and 1/2 cup of water and seasoning to your liking cook for about 5-7 mins

- After we cook broccoli, remove from pan and add your chicken ( I like to use the flavor from the broccoli

- Cool chicken until done ( about 12-15 mins)

- Next add your corn in small sauce pan, this can cook for about 4-5 mins

Step 3

Then we will drain rice

- Add rice to bowl first to create a bottom layer, then add corn on the further side you choose, add broccoli next to your corn, add chicken next to broccoli and last but not least add your avocado next to your chicken.

I added a tablespoon of soy sauce on top as well 

I also made myself a Green Mint tea with a little honey added
